活動教學越發受到重視，就連行政長官林鄭月娥所發表的第二份施政報告裏也建議撥款約9億元供公營及直資學校用於「全方位學習津貼」上。然而老師在準備課堂教學之餘，還有空閒籌備這些課堂外的教育活動嗎？

來自香港教大學賽馬會小學的余仔老師及李Sir卻積極支持這種走出課室的教學，甚至覺得它不僅令學生獲益，就連自己亦從中感受到以教師為業的意義所在。

由化工企業科思創與世界自然基金會香港分會早前合辦的「海洋塑膠故事」，便屬其中一種活動教學的教育課程。它們邀請了香港教育大學賽馬會小學多位四至六年級的學生一起到海下灣拾垃圾、玩遊戲、看珊瑚，讓他們了解海洋垃圾的議題。
